It started with one printer
and an escape room.

We're Keith and his wife — a husband-and-wife team based in Amarillo, Texas. We also run Amarillo Escape and Mystery, our escape room business. When we needed custom props and puzzle pieces for the rooms, we bought a 3D printer. That one printer changed everything.

What started as a tool for the escape room quickly became its own thing. We couldn't stop printing. Toys, fidgets, gadgets — we were hooked. The name “Windy Blend” comes from two things that define us: it's always windy here, and we're a blended family. That spirit — resourceful, scrappy, built on what we have — runs through everything we do.

We started selling at the Canyon Farmers Market, the Amarillo Peddler Show, and other local pop-up events. That's where we heard the same story over and over from other makers: “I need one roll of filament and I need it today. I don't want to wait three days for Amazon.”

So we started stocking filament. Not because we had some grand plan — because people needed it and nobody local was doing it. That became High Plains Filament. We only sell what we've tested on our own printers, and we keep it in stock so you can grab it when you need it.

Today, we run 10 printers producing over 700 unique toys, fidgets, and custom products. We've partnered with the City of Amarillo and Region 16 Education Service Center to teach 3D printing classes, bringing hands-on education to people who've never touched a printer before. And now, under Caprock 3D, we're pulling it all together — printing, filament, education, and services — under one roof.

Every product we sell, we've printed ourselves. Every filament we stock, we've tested ourselves. That's not a tagline — it's how we operate.
